When using Google find a local Monongahela business, have you ever noticed that sometimes:

  • the business doesn’t show up on Google Maps or the address is incorrect?
  • the hours of operation are wrong?
  • there are no photos of the business or the photos are crappy?
  • Google search results point you to a Facebook page but you don’t use Facebook and can’t access the information you need?

Chances are that the business owner hasn’t created or claimed their Google Business Profile.

Now help is available for Monongahela area businesses that want to create or optimize their own Google Business profile. The Monongahela Main Street Program, the Monongahela Area Chamber of CommerceGrow With Google, and Main Street America have partnered together to bring Grow With Google Digital Coach Joshua Miller to town for two free coaching sessions to be held at the Monongahela Area Chamber of Commerce headquarters on Monday, September 18, 2023. Joshua has been working as a freelancer and contracted employee since 2004. He is a photographer by trade and has experience in project management and production coordination, graphic and design work, social media and marketing, public relations and business branding. Session One: Get Your Business on Google Search and Maps

Ensure customers can find accurate, updated information about your local business on Google Search and Google Maps, no matter which device they use. In this workshop, you will learn how to create and manage a Google Business Profile from start to finish.

In this session we will show you how to:

  • Create or claim your Google Business Profile
  • Manage your business information across Google Search and Maps
  • Use your Business Profile to connect with potential customers

Who this session is intended for:

  • Businesses who do not have their Google business profile
  • Businesses who currently have a profile but do not have it verified 
  • Businesses who have a verified business profile and who would like to learn all of its features and learn how to better manage it to reach new customers
  • Brick and mortar establishments including everything from restaurants and retail to realtors and insurance agencies
  • Service-based businesses that travel to customers, including contractors, electricians, massage therapists, etc.
